Tursunov (tur-SIHN'-awf) won the tourney title in 2007 and was the runner-up last year. The 26-year-old Russian is ranked No. 27 in the world.
Ferrero reached the world's No. 1 ranking in 2003 when he won in Paris, reached the U.S. Open finals and the Australian Open quarterfinals. The Spaniard ended a 110-tournament title drought in April when he won at Casablanca.
Also in the field are Marcos Baghdatis (bag-DA'-tihs) of Cyprus and Arnaud Clement (ahr-NOH' kleh-MAWN') of France. They will join American Andy Roddick in the tourney.
The tournament runs July 18-26.
